Brewer's Yeast is another great one. A friend of mine was mixing some yeast and pumpkin into their cat's food for veterinary reasons... I said that I used to eat brewer's yeast... my friend thought I was trying to be funny.

I didn't tell him that I sometimes mix canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix, pure canned pumpkin... it's rich in carotenoids and other phytonutrients) into my shakes. I wonder if I'll look back in a few years and laugh at myself for gobbling fish oil, greens powder, and flax seeds.

Hot Stuff... that stuff was so funny. 1-2mg of EVERYTHING they could stick in there. Supposedly the first batches had some sort of juice in it (much like the first batches of Metrx).

I tried the Cybergenics kit, lol. It did teach me that those amino pills (can't remember who made them but they smelled good!) were nowhere near enough protein.

Anyone try the duchane products? Ultimate orange was good, ISO3 wasn't. I still have the empty tub around with cat food in it. I couldn't get in down it was so filling, yet 20mins later i'd be STARVING.

I guess that they are a decent source of protein, but not very cost effective compared to meat or eggs... and they really, really, really, really make you gassy. I think that their popularity in the past was part of a general euphoria about taking everything in pill form.

Arginine and Ornathine as growth hormone stimulators, liquid collagen, amino acids, now its various length chains of peptides. They can't seem to make up their mind as to whether its short or long peptides that work best, or whether your body is capable of hydrolysing protein on its own. Can't forget all the hype over chromium supplements either for fat loss. As a friend told me years ago, forget supplements, buy some anabolic androgens, don't waste your money. Juice and food.

I have no idea if they give special preference to re-building the liver or not... but I can definitely vouch for the gas-producing effects of dessicated liver pills. There would be times when I'd blast one every time I took a step. I darn near burned a hole in my car seat!

I got a shit load of Phosphagen HP for cheap, cheap. Pretty good creatine mix. The grape tastes great also. A lot of those old dextrose/creatine formulas are super cheap now and IMO are better than all the new ones with buffered creatine up the beta-alanine ester, arginine hydrochloride asshole etc etc...
