Hello Prae! I was wondering, I think I saw it in a older post, but is taking stuff like Xtend Scivation (BCAA, glutamine, Citruline and artificial sweetners) is allowed between meals or with meals under Keto diet ?

Or simply taking BCAA like CP says around training time and between meal to keep soreness at bay!?

And since we don't build muscle while dieting, but mostly trying to keep them. What do you thing of a whole body approach 3 times per week like HST, about 8-10 exercises with 2 sets each of mostly compound exercises (Squats, bench press, chin-ups, overhead press, pull-ups, dips...) ?

The idea behind that is to provoke natural GH response by using compound exercises, whole body 'aggression' and keep rest between minimal, while not overtrainning by doing too many sets.

Taking these items between meals will slow fast loss...they are still calories...sweeteners can be used with meals in drinks ie coffee, tea etc. BCAA between meals will slow fats loss and will do nothing for soreness. I would suggest if you are going to take BCAA's to take them during training to prevent catabolism while in a calorie deficit. Three days per week is insufficient to maintain muscle IMO...how you trained to build the muscle should be how you train to keep it. You will get plenty of hormonal response from training the same way you built the muscle...and you wont be over training as long as you aren't training past failure.

Ok got it! I guess I can then take the Scivation Xtend with a meal if I adjust the macro accordingly to the 10g of BCCA/Glutamine there is in ?
