talking about the top ten in the world, do they take any time off gear or do they have to be on year round esp if doing more than one show.
i was told most just cruise on gh in between cycles and might take some time off, but if someone is serious to make it to the top and keep it there like jay cutler has one almost has to be on year round. often i see pros shrink right after a show which makes sense and then start bulking back for the next show.

Some do, some dont...you have to remember the better the genetics the less time on and the less gear you need to stay in shape or grow. Look at Kevin Levrone he was off for 6 months of the year almost every year...and thats zero training...never even walking into the gym...and in 6 months on and back training hes top three at the O.

If I may also add that once they've reached a certain level of size to the point like Heath and cutler, they can get away with less during the offseason, ramp it up and grow into shows as you now see them both do.

He didnt care...he played in his band Full Blown and partied for 6 months...then would hit the gym and gear hard for 6 months and look crazy for the Olympia.

hmmm maybe if he actually did it all year around, he might have won a few olympias instead of being runner up.

Gear hard may be right. I have heard (mind you as a 3rd party) that Levrone used ridiculous amounts of gear. Up to 10 grams of test per week alone. I can't imagine that the laws of diminishing returns wouldn't apply but after reading what Munzer had in his system when he croaked nothing would surprise me. That said, the man had amazing genetics for bbing. Shit musician and shit actor however.

Munzers list was detailed for other reasons...mainly to avoid prosecution...it has nothing to do with his actual cycles. 10g of test per week...please if you believe that i know of some ocean front property in Ohio you can buy for cheap!! Take 10g of test and let me know how you feel in a week! Its about genetics....it has nothing to do with amount of gear!

Do you remember Rock DeFerro and his adventures Prae?Landed in the hospital after a show but he sure was hard.lots of people have done huge amounts.

LOL yes you are 100% correct...many people have done tonnes of stuff...all that proves is that they are not very intelligent...there is a limit to the amount of gear you can take and still make significant incremental gains...for test its about 1000-1200mg weekly...after that incremental gains diminish drastically and sides rise rapidly to a point where you will feel extremely sick as your body starts to attack the test as an immune response.

I'm not saying I believe it. It was from the mouth of another pro bodybuilder who knows him. And I have been to Cleveland before, it's not a bad place at all.

Everyone had an opinion of what Munzer was taking...but few actually knew..most likely only Munzer himself.

I'm talking about Levrone. That's what a pro told me about him. As far as Munzer is concerned ? Whether or not he had half of what he was purported to have in his system when he died I think doing 10 shows per year at his BF% could have been as much a cause of his death as anything else. The guy was never below 6% it seemed.
