Figured I would rant on here about my crazy neighbours to avoid physically harming them.

They moved in the beginning of April and since have had cops show up 7 times for domestic abuse. And twice for assault.

These arguments always happen at 3 am or some other ridiculous hour of the night. On top of that its a duplex so we hear everything though the walls and vents. Last night was worse than most so I called the police than headed over myself since the girlfriend next door is my sister. I had her leave to our mothers than told him he had til morning to get out. He started mouthing off so when the cops came he got dragged off to the drunk tank. The house was damaged during their argument, my daughter ( 3 months old ) keeps getting woken up and crying due to the arguments.

This morning the boyfriend comes back at 6 am police released him and he did nt have a key so he decides to try to kick down the door, which once again wakes us up. I went over asked him if he could not bang on the doors and maybe ask the landlord for a key. He got mouthy again police called again. Than when they get there he tells them I threatened him and I almost got charged.

The guy acts all smug to the landlord who is pissed about damages and wants him evicted. He keeps saying he does nt have to legally and the police refuse to do anything. As of this moment he is throwing all of the girlfriends stuff out on the lawn saying she cant come back. Although its her house she is renting it.

Annoys me to no ends we are going away for the weekend before I turned green and smash him. Followed by me being arrested. Need to buy a punching bag for occasions like this.

End of rant.

Did I read that right? The girlfriend, who's being beat on, is your sister?

Shes not being physically abused yet but if I did nt step in I m sure it would have led to it. And they have a whole drama lifestyle. She tells her guy friends and ex bf that he hits her whenever thye argue and twice now one of them has come and assaulted him at the house once in broad daylight and the following day at 3 am. She is definitely a huge part of the problem. The landlord finally got a 10 day eviction order but that does nt do much as he can stay after the 10 days legally. Than the landlord has to bring the eviction notice to the tribunal to get him removed by force by the police.

Very frustrating to be next door to them.

I have since hired a lawyer for the full day sunday. ( large chunk of my money ) but come 7 am me and the lawyer are going to jam on guitars all day long as loud as legally possible. Trying to find a drummer now. lol also my heat controls both sides of the house going ot be asking the lawyer if we can crank it for the remaining 10 days. Should be fun.

Mouth I think your luck worked he literally just got dragged off by the police lol. He was nt on the lease so the land lord had him removed immediately. The police said she could nt do this in the past which we all thought odd. She spoke with a lawyer, someone at the landlord board, and a justice person ( forget title ) they all said the opposite and that the police should no better. The police are now liable for any damages to the house and for the distress the neighbours have caused to us and the landlord. Lawyer put the fear in to them prety good.

Oh I want to hit him so bad but got to think first got my daughter to think about. I'll make the rational desicion regardless that I want to hit him so bad.

Update: The lawyers have yet to get involved. They will be involved on monday. He was dragged away earlier because he told his mother he was going to kill himself. The police than had to break down the door to get him out. Than 2 hours later they let this drunk/violent/suicidal man come back to his house. Which next door is me and my family. I believe after a suicide threat they are supposed to hold him for 72 hours for signs of being a threat to himself. I had to once again for about the 10th time in a month take my girlfriend and daughter to her mothers for the night. I hope the landlord sues the police for not doing their jobs. She already plans to but has to talk to another lawyer about her options.

Your sister is the girlfriend of the nut job?

My brother used to be married to one as well, there is a reason why they are together... don't get involved too much!

Yeah my sister is the nutjob's gf. She is also a nut job herself. Shes pulled a knife on me when we were kids because I would nt help her with her paper route. She pulled a knife on our younger sister over using the computer. She takes no responsibility for anything me my sister and my mom have all told her we are done with her after this. Shes not allowed to see her niece / nephew /sister ( we have a 4 yr old sister ) I'm done completely. We already are looking for a new place. Which sucks with rent at 450 / month for 2 floors plus a finished basement on the river. But my sanity and my daughter safety trumps saving some money.

So...they're required to hold him if he's a danger to himself...but, if he's a danger to others, there's nothing they can do? Man, the law is fun sometimes!

I know the law is so stupid like
-lady sueing mcdonalds after she spilt coffee on herself, she won because there was no hot warning on it.
-man broke in to a house while a family was on vacation, he became trapped in the garage for 8 days he sued and won.
-an armed gunman broke in to a house the owner shot him in the leg to avoid killing him. The robber sued and won.

There are so many other examples of this it is ridiculous.

At least that's civil law (and, in the States)...criminal law, should be less retarded. ;)
