Hey guys, every time i take Jack3d i don't feel much of a boost at all. It's odd because when i just take like 400mg of caffeine preworkout i feel it better than i do the Jack. Anyone have any similar experience?

what version of jack3d do you have? the canadian version doesnt allow 1 3 dimethylamylamine which was the main ingredient most people felt the stimulated effects from.

other than that I think there is beta-alanine, creatine and caffeine.

I find alot of pre work out supplements to be junk. I ve tried all sorts. I've come to stick with 200mg capsules of caffiene , every once in awhile I'll buy a red bull or a NOS energy drink. It tastes so good.

Jack3d is now off the market in Canada because of dimethylamylamine.. I went to go pick some up at GNC last week and they no longer carry it.
Picked up some 1MR instead but its a lot bigger scoop to be as potent as Jack3d.

Jack3d actually contains caffeine anyways.

You might need to take 2-3 scoops instead of one

Btw if you Jack3d is blue it's got the dimethylamylamine (good shit), the red one is a different mix

Save your money and buy a $6.00 bottle of caffeine pills , every bit as good as any prework out and i have tried most of them (wasted my money).

The primary ingredient in Jack3d is l-arginine, which has been shown to be pretty much useless for enhancing performance or building muscle. It contains creatine and beta alanine, which are great but have no acute effects. Canadian version doesn't have 1-3-DMAA. So really, in terms of direct performance, it's pretty much nothing but caffeine.

This is the list of ingredients:
(Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate, Creatine Monohydrate, Beta Alanine (CarnoSyn®), Caffeine, 1,3-Dimethylamylamine HCL, Schisandra Chinensis (Berry) Extract (Standardized For Schizandrol A))

The primary stimulatory effect comes from the caffeine. 1,3 DMAA is methylhexanamine which supposedly combined with caffeine increases the stimulatory effect however the opposite has been shown to occur. DMAA actually raises blood pressure with little CNS stimulation...in essence ephedrine produces much more CNS stimulation than DMAA.

AKG+Creatine mono+Beta Alanine all show significant benefits to exercise performance but you are better off making your own pre-intra workout mix which would b much less expensive and as good if not better. Here is an example 200mg caffeine + 5gAKG +5g Beta + 5g bcaa taken prior to training. The creatine mono should be taken in the morning and post workout.

No intention on hijacking the thread but how many of you get the "tingle" from beta alanine?

Ive taken 5-15g of beta alanine by itself with my pre / intra workout drink and have never yet experienced this "tingle". My fiance tried Jack3d and said she felt the itchy burnys everywhere.

PI agree make your own and add in BCAAs as well to your intra workout drink. I've tried a number of commercial pre workout products and I get more bang for my buck if I just make my own intra workout product.

There are some brand new "first to market" preworkouts coming in September that are going to blow the old 1, 3 away from what I hear........ I will be samples of this stuff to try out here as they are just finishing up the end of the R&D on it. I am very excited.
