So the gym I had been training at for years recently shut down. Moved to another gym just down the road, and this one is filled with hammer strength equipment. The stuff looks pretty interesting, and not just like the typical girly machines at the local YMCA.
What is everybody's thoughts and opinions on this equipment and possibly incorporating some of it into a regular workout program? I think I remember owning a dvd of Chris Cormier where all he seemed to use was hammer strength. Wonder if I can find it.

Personnaly I like using hammer strength as a break from free weights. I find with heavy weight all the time going to hammer strangth gives my joints a rest from the stress.

ditto for me , good addition for free weights but not bread and butter of routine, you want mass free weights IRON robbi, gotta live up to that handle, lol

Just to clear it up, I'm not talking dropping free weights and using just machines. I'm thinking at the end for that last pump. The stuff is really.... different but seems to give a retarted pump.

Changing things nobody what machine you use is a good idea.
hs machines offer a good range of motion.....nearly duplicating free weight movements.....when i train DC I use the hs stuff quite a bit cuz i dont work out wit a spotter......
