View Full Version : Dieting And Early Morning BCAA's
Prae,IIRC,while dieting and doing cardio in the morning,you eat nothing whatsoever for a period of time?How about BCAA's?Will they interfere with the fat burning process?

I dont take anything before cardio except some caffeine and L-carnitine...if you were dong intense cardio then I would say yes BCAA would be beneficial...but just walking I dont see the need.

Ok,in the hour or maybe two after,you might be going 12 hours without protein.Do.these BCAA's actually interfere with the fat burning period?

They are calories so technically they still count. I have done fasted cardio for many years and have had many many clients do fasted cardio without ever losing an ounce of muscle...as i said with low intensity cardio i dont see the need.

I see.Sometimes on the job I could get the heart rate higher than 110 for sure for short periods,say 5-15 mins.Would that make any diff?More times than I can remember I've burned off lean tissue,comes straight off the quads.

Just make sure you are eating protein regularly along with fat..that will keep a steady supply of amino acids to your muscles and youll have no issues.
