Was thinking of getting a set of Crush Grippper to train my grip. Can someone suggest a training routine or a site that has good info on training routines for grip?

I'm thinking of buying the CoC beginner set and go up from there - http://www.roguecanada.ca/captains-of-crush-grippers.php

Since Brandon can almost close a number 3,you should ask him what he does.

CP recommend to train with fat bars for grip, since very few gyms have them, maybe you can buy some fat grips to put on your barbells and dumbbells.

I'd could use fatgrips (I already have 'em). Though I'd rather train the grip separately as I'm switching up to a more strength oriented routine using barbells. I want to focus on technique while doing it.

If you have the spare money, time and the resources near by you could look in to Kendo or a variation of sword training. Very effective. I found training in Eskrima and Krav Maga definitely improved my grip. Tae Kwon Do would be another good option due to the amount of grabbing and holding involved. Krav Maga is good for grip only when training with pistols (using them as a striking weapon not firing them, although that works too.)so that would be the weakest of the options. All these will definitely improve functional grip strength but obviously not ideal for anyone on a budget. But you could always buy dvd/books or download them and practice with a friend who is also interested. Much easier on the wallet. And gets you something fresh instead of more time in the gym doing the same thing repeatedly.

I have to admit. That's a pretty nice idea that's outside the box.
