so last July I was weighing in at 171lbs up until last week I had made it to 210lbs and maintained 8.6%bf got pinched at gym... I have been losing weight this week hard, down to 196lbs, and I'm sure it's because work has picked up and my diet is terrible again. I own a drywall company and often work long hours with long periods of time between breaks and no way to heat up food so I'm looking for idea's for things to eat quickly and cold through out the day.
I rough look at my day is:

6am 2c oatmeal 1/4c raisins 1 scoop shake
10am we go for brunch 3 eggs 4-6whites cup spinach tomato cucumber 1oz cheese 2 whole wheat toast
2-3pm couple sandwiches shake and some almonds made from leftovers ( no processed meat crap)
6-7pm supper tonight was 12oz salmon 1 cup basamati rice 2 cups mixed veg
8pm gym
10pm post workout shake and fruit
also take multi twice a day

Im pretty sure I'm not eating enough, but I'm not really sure how much to be eating and how to fit more in I stuck my salmon on my food scale and it alone said it was 900 cals LOL.Also is there any truth to your body only being able to use 25-30g protein at once... trainer at my gym told me to cut back per sitting... but come supper I'm some hungry

That 14 pounds in one week was likely mostly water and bung.

The 25-30g per meal is an old school thought, it does not reflect the truth. The simple trick for when you don't have time to eat/cook meal is to take a whey shake that you add olive oil in it to slow down the absorption and support you some time, you can also add some fibers in it and since you are working pretty hard and have a low BF% you probably can use some carbs in it too.

I asked a similar question not too long ago and got some good simple advice for users here. Protein shakes are better than nothing. Other on the go snacks that I use while driving long distance to see relatives are , beef jerky, peanut butter, apples. Another solution is protein bars but they are often high in carbs so they are not ideal. Also and TT Eric said that 25-30 grams of protein per sitting is bunk from what I have read and from personal experience. I take in about 50 grams at a time on while bulking and have seen solid results.

One thing I do when I do not have enough protein in a meal (no time or not enough hungry), I take dessicated liver pills! This is pretty old school, but I like it for many side benefit beside the protein. There is Beverly int and Universal that make them. I stay away from Universal because there is a potential harmful chemical in it (selling is banned in CA for that) and it's product diluted with Whey, so you don't really how much Liver in it.

But Bev int is of top quality AFAIK.

http://www.beverlyinternational.net/productpdfs/Ultra_40.pdf

''From a supplemental standpoint, even the best food chemists in the world can’t duplicate the power of liver. A plethora of nutritional factors occur naturally in liver... high quality protein and amino acids • blood building heme iron (the form absorbed best by the body without toxic buildup) • energy modulating B-vitamins including B-12 and Folic Acid • nucleic acids (RNA/DNA) for proper amino acid utilization and cell growth • fat metabolizing lipotropics (choline and inositol) • antioxidants Co Q10 and selenium • minerals such as phosphorous, copper, zinc, and GTF chromium (insulin regulator) • anti-fatigue and growth factors such as cytochrome p-450.''

8 tablets = 14g of protein, so it's pretty easy to raise protein intake with that.

Began to take those in 86, I started back a few months ago. Like them! Blood test showed high levels of B-12, means it's well absorbed!

2 tbsp olive oil is a good start and if you can you could add 2 tbsp milled flax (for fibers) with 50g of whey. It's a quick fix when you don't have time for a real meal.

Try to get a good quality olive oil, most sold at the market fail, it's often a blend or poor quality, do a simple test : put your olive oil in the fridge if it become like jello it should be a good quality, but if it's stay liquid, change brand.

Look for 'FIRST cold press', not only 'cold press'.
