I don't know how it cost and who does that, but I would like to find a place where I could get an analysis of some supplements, that would be nice to know if what's on the label is really in the caps!
So if you know a good place let me know!
Thanks

I would guess that for the cost of doing this your better off not using the supplement if you have any suspicion whatsoever. Supplements are only a very small component of success. My theory is that if you're worried about it, then don't take it - or take it and accept there is a small chance you're putting something else then what is on the label. Odds are, even if it isn't exactly, its close enough - at least for the supplements worth taking. Sticking to the basics, creatine, protein, etc, you're not going to find anything crazy out of the ordinary. Perhaps when you get into the proprietary blend stuff where there is 100 "magic" ingredients each supposed to do their own thing...But those are the supps I tend to avoid.

Yes I agree, I stay away from proprietary blend. Mostly I take the basics, but I take a lot of healthy products and one of them happens to be fish oil softgels, I would like to be sure of the quality since there is some info circulating on the net about being careful on fish oil, it is said that most fish oil is filtered which is ok, but it is also deodorized, bleached, molecularly distilled, subjected to high heat, and treated with caustic soda and resin. The denatured fatty acids in fish oil supposedly can be as bad or worse than hydrogenated vegetable oils! Since I take about a dozens of those per day and give them to my family too I want to be sure the quality of the brand I use is as expected.

Got my answer pretty quick and the idea of doing a private analyses is gone as quick :
''Unfortunately the cost to test a product is several thousand dollars and is usually outside the realm for most consumers.''

exactly what I thought...
Its just not worth it. For the cost of the analysis, you're better off paying a little extra for something your more comfortable of its quality. Although, you never really know do you!! But same can be said about anything we eat unless you are growing it from scratch! I say don't worry about it. the fact that you use these type of supplements for yourself and your family puts you in the 99th percentile for health and wellness. Just imagine most people eat junk on a daily basis. eating at McDs once a week is probably worse for you then taking a fish oil supplement that is only 50% pure and 50% garbage!

That's what I thought. You may try emailing the company directly and see if they will send you a COA. Other than that you may be SOL. LOL. Now that's funny. I've had a subscription to Consumer Lab for the past 5ish years so if there is something you want me to look up I can check it our for you. Let me know...

Yes I did that, but the COA was provided from the manufacturer (China) to the distributor.
Thanks for you offer, I may PM you!
