I am in the habit of purchasing my supplements a few months or weeks before they expire as this saves considerable $$$$s. I'm curious if supplements such as creatine have a shelf life that is in line with manufacturers suggested dates.. Does anybody have any idea if creatine powder eventually converts to creatinine as it ages in the dry state? Praetorian, any idea about this?

I have used many a supplement past their "expiry date". The key is how they were stored. As long as it was nowhere near a direct heat or light source Im sure its good to go for at least12-18 months past the sell date if unopened. Past that it will most likely be degraded somewhat but still is worth purchasing if you can get it dirt cheap. I once bought 5 boxes of promax bars for $5 cause they were 18 months past the sell by date. I ate every single one, with the majority being consumed in one week. I was on vacation in banff and they were mighty convenient at the time. Nothing happened, other than sugar overload and chewing a bit of leather lol.
