What about those omron six sensor scales? They claim many diff readings.

If the scale itself is very reliable, (ie, step on it 3 times and get the same number each time no matter how much you lean forward or back)... then that in itself is worth a lot of money to someone who needs to keep track of their weight...(ex, making a weight class for any type of competition, etc)... The WIFI stuff might be a little gimmicky, but still cool nonetheless if your into numbers and like being able to track things without writing them down.
Gimmicky, perhaps, but the price isn't that bad assuming the scale itself is good accurate and reliable...I know I've spent up to 100$ for scales that basically suck. The one I have now is useless because it has a 'memory' it seems...If I weigh 180, and you weigh 182, but I go on first, I guarantee you the scale will say 180 for you! weird...Sometimes I have to get Ange to jump on the scale to 'forget' my weight. lol
This omron uses impedance measurement to check bone mass, water content, abdominal fat, overall fat, muscle mass and total weight, iirc.

I've tried several of those impedance scales and handheld devices...they all suck for bodybuilders IMO. Both said i was obese at the same time i had veins showing through on my abs. lol. I go by pictures as they usually don't lie.

best scale I've ever used for body composition that relied on impedence, frequencies, etc, was the inbody520...
http://biospaceamerica.com/Product/ib520.html
when prepping for my last show, it showed up at 16.2% at the start, which was fairly close. I had abs showing slightly through a blurred stomach, but I sure as hell wasn't 'lean'... By 1 week out, I dropped it to 8.9%. Most people would not have agreed with 8.9%, but honestly, people overestimate how lean they actually are (or underestimate bodyfat %)... I mean, how many people do you know who are TRULY 4% on stage? 4% is basically the leanest dudes you'll EVER see on stage. Most of the top pros don't even get to that level of conditioning.
Overall, I really did like the inbody520, even gave me lean muscle tissue by body part, and my weaker arm and leg showed up as fractions smaller than the other. It really seemed to capture even those details. Price of the instrument...almost 10 grand, lol...

If you want a true measurement use the mirror...numbers mean nothing on stage...like Steve says many over estimate how lean they actually are...the mirror doesnt lie. A regular digital scale to make sure progress is on track as well as digital pics and a second eye from someone who has experience.

ain't that the truth P! F what any number tells you u are...If one guy looks peeled at 9%, and the next guy looks fatter and he's 8%, then mr 8% needs to get the mirror to make him look like mr. 9%! Countless times I've had my back pinched and told "wow, this is where you hold all your fat" then I flex it and out comes the christmas tree...so who cares! no one is pinching you up there, if it looks dry and tight, then it doesn't matter! everyone's skin is even different...I am one of those guys who in the off season you could pinch and feel little to no body fat, yet my abs aren't showing hardly at all... yet my triceps have cross striations in them even when there is fat to pinch...
other guys have cross striated thighs year round, but you KNOW there is lots of fat on them (including the actual legs that are striated!). Again, its all about wwhat that mirror says. And what you look like under those stage lights.
