p,
have a look at this article, what he talks about seems compelling but also against everything i was told about fish oil.
http://chrisbeatcancer.com/my-high-fat-diet-and-why-i-dont-take-fish-oil/
he is a former cancer survivor who eats a very high fat diet, and no sugars, starches etc, but also doesn't use fish oil for reasons listed on his site.
i dont know where he got the facts, but have u heard of such claims?

Looks as though he's trying to debunk everything associated with traditional fish oils so he can push another product.

i dont think hes pushing any product as there is no financial interest just his suggestions , but you could be right, who knows just thought it was worthy of discussion.

There are a few take aways from this...
1. Source and quality of fish oil
2. A balance is what we should strive for...not too much of either
3. We generally get way too much omega 6 so increasing omega 3 is helpful
4. grass fed beef is high in omega three which should be a prime source not just fish oil
7. eating more fish is good but it must be wild caught and even then it still contains plenty of mercury
5. getting omega three from flax or hemp is NOT efficient at all...very low conversion in most people
6. he is touting "Yes" brand of supplements

What about his assertion that the quality of fish oils could be degraded during processing Prae?

Any oil can be degraded during processing...ie olive oil. That doesnt mean all processing is bad...you just need to look for quality.

''Trans-fats are present in most vegetable and cooking oils, and processed food...'' since when there is trans-fat in vegetable ? lol
It's crazy how we could find every reason to consume something or to not consume something, about almost every food/supplements.

I'm curious, since we're on the topic of fish oil, if there's an upper limit to how much one should take each day?

We want a balance of omega 3 to omega6....1:1 to 4:1 is ideal. Too much of one thing is never good.
