Just got the news that national level bodybuilder Rick Doucette (from Alberta) and a mother in her mid 30's have been found dead and police suspect it to be a murder suicide. Condolences to their family members and the child of the mother, who was with family members when the crime was commited.

Please don't mistaken him with another National level bodybuilder with the same name but is from Nova Scotia.

Rick Doucette profile. (http://www.canadabodybuilding.com/showthread.php?19906-Rick-Doucette-%28Alberta%29)

My friend sent me this artical today:

I knew the name rung a bell but wasn't aware there was two guys with the same name that competed.

Thank you for clarifying that there are 2 Rick Doucettes...not the type of story you want to see your name in.

Ya, it's a good thing I had made a profile for you so it showed up when I did a search for the name on the forum and I saw the problem it may cause. I made sure to point it out as I didn't want it to affect you in a negative way.

As posted by his ex-wife from TO on facebook:

Everyone knew all the danger and thought he would change. First wife shot at in early 20s. Girlfriend stabbed attempted murder when he was 24 and served 4 years. The abuse of my self and women still seemed to swoon over him and think they would be different. Other girlfriend beaten and the list will go on. He had to go to Alberta because he would have been deemed a dangerous offender in Ontario if he had one more violent offense. But many of us know the violence continued. Why did no one make that stand out there. Now a little girl will grow up without a mother....May God Bless her.

AAS is like Alcohol, it amplifies your personality it makes assholes bigger assholes. For more mellow down to earth guys it does nothing to make you more aggressive.

It may usually come up in scenarios like this for a couple of reasons.

1. A way for law enforcement to continue their war on AAS useage. (ie. Steroids make you full of "crazy rage" = Steroids should continue to be harshly dealt with legally)
2. An excuse for morons to justify/rationalize their behavior. (ie. I used steroids and they're what made me lose my control = Absolution from personal responsibility, blame the drugs)
