well there was definately a clear message sent out about what they were NOT lookin for

They all look great, no disrespect, but the 1, 2, 3rd placing ladies look like figure girls. This is not what I had pictured for physique....

Totally agree with Fitnurss! Girls looked great but the top 3 could have walked into the figure class and nobody would have known the difference. If this is the path of the new class then it is a waste of a class

So, if physique is the old figure, I wonder if the expectations for figure this year will be smaller and softer...?

People need to realize that the IFBB wants nothing to do with women's BB in its present state...they see it as an embarrassment and a black eye to their organization for the simple reason of drug use and the side effects it has on these women.
Therefore they will make sure the new direction ie women's Physique is as far away as possible from women's BB...they want a look that is "somewhat" believable to have been achieved without drugs...if they see something that is not believable to have been attained without drugs they will mark them down. The IFBB would like nothing better than to see women;s BB disappear OR morph into what it used to be in the 80's and to do that requires massive change.

I don"t think any of the girls in this class looked like bodybuilders. They all looked like figure girls except for Dana linn bailey who looked nothing like figure nor anything like a bodybuilder. I'm not bias but in my opinion she is what a womens physique competitor is suppose to look like. I still think all the girls looked amazing it just wasn't what I was expecting.

With all the diffrent the division plus it being females $1500 seems par for the course... not saying it's right just sadly the norm.

Thanks for posting the pics ladies :)

I love the package Dana brought perfect IMO but I am guessing she's to "ripped."

here's an interesting comparison that one of my girls found this morning
on Josée Poirier * Fitness Figure facebook page

i actually trained Erin Harding (she is 2nd from the right in the pic attached)
to that Med Tall Figure win at 2010 Canadian Nationals...
and also her 2 other Overall wins earlier that year...
she was completely natural
and i actually toned her down cuz i didn't want her too big
as Figure was already downsizing
