So 6 weeks ago I hired Ted from Body Athletica. I am on a 16 week split program of body recomp and lean mass gain. Price was approx $600.00. $37.50 weekly or $5.35 daily (price of 2 timmies). So I dropped the booze (35 - 40 beer + wine per weekend) on 1 Jan 12 and have only 1 or 2 timmies per week. I still have coffee daily but make my own.

Here is liver blood work dated 04 Jan 12.
ALT 87 (17 POINTS OVER MAX)
AST 49 (4 POINTS OVER MAX)
GGT 124 (44 POINTS OVER MAX)

CHOLESTEROL 6.14 (.8 OVER MAX)
TRIGLYCERDIES 8.25 ( 5.95 OVER MAX)
HDL 1.09 (.20 OVER MIN)
LDL > 4.50 (TOO HIGH TO READ)
CHOL / HLD RATIO 5.6 (NOT GOOD)

Here is liver blood work dated 08 Feb 12:
ALT 53 (GOOD)
AST 32 (GOOD)
GGT 86 (GOOD)

CHOLESTEROL 4.11 (1.10 UNDER MAX)
TRIGLYCERDIES .58 ( .2 UNDER MIN)
HDL 1.23 (.32 OVER MIN BUT STILL GOOD AS MAX IS 1.60)
LDL > 2.62 (.78 UNDER MAX)
CHOL / HLD RATIO 3.3 (VERY GOOD)

When i started body weight was 179 lbs @ 20% ish body fat (tested myself with skin caliper so maybe a little off)
As of yesterday weight is 167 @ 13%ish body fat (tested myself with skin caliper so maybe a little off) abs are starting to show.
No pics until completion of week 16.
If you are new to working out or just need help makin gains or weight loss, have a shit load of will power cause this set up aint for the week of heart. I highly recommend Body Athletica. Now if you decide to try these guys remember they only give you 1% of the solution the other 99% is dedication on your part, so if you fail at your goals look in the mirror and you will most likely see the part of the equation that needs to be adjusted.
Best of luck.
Will update again at week 12.

Did you achieve healthier blood work results eating a high fat, high protein, low carb diet? I dont want you to give away any trade secrets or specifics, Im just curious what method of eating you chose to achieve those results.

You can pretty much bet on that one.

Or cutting out 35-40 beers may have helped with that. :)

Taking away the beer was a very good start, as for diet I don't know. I am on a Keto diet plan so it may have helped.

so that is a high fat high protein confirm then. i wish i followed this plan many years ago. since switching i see much better results with much less bloat and lethargy and constant chewing lol.

The removal of alcohol, the removal of allergenic and inflammation causing foods ie any wheat products, starchy carbs etc, added saturated fats, essential fats, fibre etc would all contribute to the blood lipid profile improvement.

Between eating right and dropping those sud soaked weekends you must feel a heck of a lot better.

I haven't felt this good in years. I am 40 yrs young. I used to have a nap after work and by a nap I mean a 2-3 hour sleep and wake up cranky as a bear. Since making my change I don't take any naps, I get up at on week days 5am, treadmill for 50 min, have breakfast, workout 1 to 1 1/2 hour be at work for 8am, quittin time 3pm, head home, no naps after work bed around 10pm and sleep like a baby wake up full of piss and vinegar also recently had a sleep test and sleep apnea is gone. Weekends in bed by 11pm and up at 7am no naps. I have more energy than the energizer bunnie. I am a big fan of the keto diet. I was a bit unsure of keto at first, reading stories of being lethargic, mind groggy and stuff like that kind of worried me. I didn't have any of those symptoms. So to answer your question about feeling a heck of a lot better. Answer is hell yeah.
