BOOKMARK THIS!

Good site for overview on some of the commonly found additives and substitutes. If you notice your packaged foods have added ingredients check em out here to see if there are safe for consumption.

It seems like most fat and sugar substitutes are terrible for you and breeding ground for cancers.

I don't know if I agree with all the ratings. Will have to do some more research on some of the additives. Still it is a good start.

I avoid almost all processed foods anyway so worrying about all the ingredients isn't that big of a deal.

Well I didn't really have time to look it over thoroughly but I did notice that Stevia was in the caution category, while sucralose was "safe." My understanding is that stevia is the safest calorie free sweetener. Maybe I am wrong?

Also they have MSG in the "certain people should avoid" category. I think MSG should be "avoid" for everyone, the stuff is terrible for you. Also MSG is often hidden in other ingredients which are found on the safe list such as carrageenan and gelatin.

Crystal light is usually 150-175mg of aspartame and 15-30mg of acesulfame!
