I think I have blew two of my 2-way satellite loudspeakers. They still work..I think it's just the tweeters. How cost affective is to get them fixed over just buying new ones. I'm sure I can get the pasts for them still as they are only 3 years old.
Any speaker experts here?

Depends on the model of the speaker whether it's worth your while. A generic tweeter can be as low as 15-20$, but if your set of speakers is a high-end I've seen them range anywhere from $80-multiple thousands. Really though, if you can get the part, it's a simple job to fix yourself. Normally 4 screws and 2 wires per speaker.

I wouldn't bother. The entire set of speakers was probably around $100 and with infinity you'll probably be looking at over $50 to buy just replacement tweets.

Ya....I have there number...I will call today to see what the parts cost. There in Scarborough. Shipping itself would be killer.

I wasn't even going to comment on this one but, I think its impossible to have "blowned" stereo speakers.

Depending on what you want to spend.....Here is a sweet deal on some JBL bookshelf speakers. http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10078957&catid=20319

Also some better surround speakers....

I am a bit of an audio junkie so if you have any specific questions, ask away.

Best Buy delivers if you order online. The shipping is pretty reasonable.

These are meant for outdoors but will work great. They are on sale, have all the mounting hardware, close the the size you have, and they are at Future Shop. Polk are the sweet.
