It was a good fight but for some reason it seemed the ref was sorta one sided. I understand that Elitexc stands up fighters faster then other event when there is no action, but they stood up the two fighter when Josh had the upper advantage and was working hard on the ground. Also, if they could let Kimbo get pounded unimpeded for 2minutes straight with his arms trapped, then I consider the end stoppage an early one.

Kimbo got lucky. If Thompsons ear didn't pop, he would have lost. Thompson wasn't out imo and was ahead in points. Kimbo was gassed and if Thompson got him down again, it would have been over.

#1) its an embarrasment that they even allowed that guy to step into the ring with his ear in that condition, what did they think was going to happen

#3) Shrek definitely had one good chin, took some really solid blows and kept going

It doesn't take a genius to notice that EliteXC is fixing Kimbo's fights...They have so much of their money, advertising and future wrapped up into this internet, circus side-show, freak-show they can't afford to let him lose yet.

I don't think Elite has any fighters that would make a competitive fight with Kimbo, they are going to keep feeding him under-experienced and over-the-hill fighters until they make their money back and they will make their money back because many fight fans fall for the hype and don't understand the sport.

Kimbo's latest stats have him at 235lbs...I would go as far as saying Kimbo couldn't beat alot of the UFC Light heavyweight (205lbs) and some Middleweight (170 lbs) guys...

I do credit Kimbo with the ability to escape when taken down by a huge monster such as Josh holding him down. But Bas Rutten needs to work on Kimbo's cardio and ground game more. He made the newbie mistake of holding on to two Guilottine chokes when he was in half gaurd which resulted in him gassing out.

Very true...I remember the first Sapp fight I watched was Sapp vs Kimo and Kimo rocked him terribly and IIRC Sapp had 100 lbs on Kimo but Sapp still went down hard. This became common in many of his fights, I love the look on his face when he gets hurt. It's very funny to watch. LOL

Is Aleksander Emelianenko under contract to anyone? If not, they should try to get him to fight Kimbo. He loves to slug it out and has a decent ground ground game. You notice when the camera does return to the ring Kimbo is out of the guillotine, this is supposedly because Thompson let-up/released the hold because he felt the tap.

I don't really know...but I do find it kinda strange that the camera does an extremely wide shot of the arena for no reason, when was the last time you saw that?

Oh and just because the event was live doesn't mean they don't have a 15-30 second delay. (a lot of fighters and fans tend to swear and you wouldn't want that on network television) so some fine tuning could occur if they did want to omit anything.
