Just thought I would share. This was just posted up on the Cygen Blogspot - first of many articles to come written by both my wife and I...

Thanks for the link, great write up!
I must say it relieved some weight on my shoulders as I always avoided going into a bulk phase as I can't allow myself to 'cover' my abs.
I was searching for proof that we can stay lean and still take muscle mass as the usual popular opinion is contrary to that. The only proof I had (and you may find this interesting) is in 1989, I was 187lbs and I decided to go for a contest, 5 months before the contest I got the chickenpox, at my age it was extremely violent, I lost 35 lbs in about 2 weeks! Two weeks later I was back at 165lbs at the gym, I thought the idea to go to the contest was over, but my training partner encourage me to still go as it was my first comp. he said do it for experience, never mind the loss, so 3.5 months prior the contest at 165 lbs I began the cutting diet and I gained back 8lbs WHILE DIETING, so (re-)gaining mass and ripping at the same time. I still finished up to a weak 165lbs once completely cut. But still, since then I always wondered if it was this exceptional event that allowed me to cut and gain mass at the same time or it was really possible to at least stay lean and still take mass. You write-up give me even more hope! Thanks! :)

Good article Steve and I liked the writing style too (we've all been there with our own thoughts in the gym). I did find the font size etc. a little hard on the eyes, but maybe I'm just getting old. Keep it up, good stuff !

I guess this is making the upcoming contest prep run a little smoother too. Just did my first "post-christmas" weigh in...I should have read this article months ago LOL
