Kovacs and the other retards involved in the extortion plot from earlier were sentenced to probation. Seems rather lenient considering they were uttering death threats and physical violence and asking for quite a bit of dough.

Just wanted to follow up for those who were interested a while ago. Be careful where BB takes you and dont get caught up in the BS that seems to drag a lot of these dudes down. This guy is pretty much a write off of a human being from what I understand and deserves a harsher penalty for sure.

At least he won't have to run his training business from behind a glass on a 2 ft phone cord in a room labelled visitors...

The guy he threatened is a good friend of mine. Kovacs was hopped up on something at the time and came in with 2 other massive thuggish dudes. Their motivation was being high as **** and having very little intelligence. My buddy owed him no money of any kind, let alone what he was asking for.

So what, they picked him out of the blue based upon the colour of his front door? Was it a home invasion or were they known to one another?

Kovacs used to work part time for my buddy at his retail location in Hamilton.

Did he actually get convicted or cop a plea?

He plead guilty, but as far as I know he was still convicted as I dont think there were special circumstances other than the reduced consequences. Im not 100% on this though. Doesnt really matter.

They don't sentence as harsh if you plead guilty so that's like why he only got probation.

this whole thing is weird... this is the whole problem with the sport, unless you're top 'elite' level, the guys who don't make that are scraping to get by... anytime someone says they want to be a pro in this industry I say have another line of income and save your money!

Who on earth would want someone like him to train them in the first place?? I know i would not want a thug like that to train me, no matter how much experience he has.

i guess me lol
maybe i'm attracted to the bad boys of bodybuilding
trained with Dave Palumbo for 2 yrs who has a criminal record and went to jail
love Dave he's one of my fav people
as for Greg.... well...
theres 2 sides to every story
and he'd have gone to jail if the crown saw it fit
plus i never judge a man unless i've walked in his shows
i've been to jail more times than i wish to count
i cleaned up from drug addiction in 1996
does that make me a bad person?
well if you say so i guess
but then you really don't know me do you?

i believe if the crown thought it was that bad he'd be in jail PERIOD
they're not gonna let some GIGANTOR run around the country terrorizing people when they already have his head in a noose
if they had hard evidence against him he'd pay for it

And if they didn't have evidence against him he wouldn't have pled guilty.

Please I know plenty of people that should be in jail right. In a lot of cases our justice system is pathetic.

Guard at fed pen...yeah he runs into a few...

I have a buddy who works as a pyschologist in a Federal pen and he has to interview the sick ****s and hook them up to see what turns them on. I'd rather hook them up to something stronger. Something that causes the eyes to pop out. We hear about The Paul Bernardos and Russell Williams of the world and although they are sick ****s our system is full of guys who have done worse. The justice system has been bent on rehabilitation for decades but with sex offenders it doesn't work. In fact it fails miserably and even those who are employed to that end know it. The system has never cared about victims and/or the protection of society in general. Sentencing certainly has never reflected this and the lack of supervision in the community doesn't either.

Disgusting. We have it so wrong. Locking people up for drugs and allowing shit like this to happen.
