i have adjustable parallel bars so I wonder how wide should I set them for best chest stimulation? I heard 30 inches is good.

im only 5 7 btw

i take a grip sth like 3-4 inches wider each side of shoulder width and flare elbows to the sides and push with a chest, squeeze hard . correct?

and second question - dips are my first chest exercise. so i wonder if say 10 pushups and few bodyweight dips (5-6) are a good start before main weighted sets? jsut to feel the movement. then add 80lbs and do worksets

Gironda would say chin tucked in.

That much width is going to place alot of stress on the shoulder and could result in a messed up rotator cuff. I prefer shoulder width for safety sake. As cog says, tuck the chin to place more emphasis on the pecs.

for now i dont have any problems with shoulders going wider than shoulder width. when i flare my albows i feel my chest somewhat better and can lean more, dont know why

key word there is "for now"...I would take PdH's advice, otherwise, it will catch up with you. Having messed up shoulders is one of the worst injuries to have in terms of limiing exercises you can do.

Shoulder injuries are depressing and I love delts. I am glad I can lift still pretty heavy but it's never going to be back to 100%. Shoulder injury will screw up shoulder and chest workouts. Plus few back exercises and traps. You will end up paying for physio and workout only legs/arms/some back.

I blew my shoulder out doing wipe weighted dips.

but isnt it all about retracting shoulder blades and holding them back and down for shoulder safety?

as for grip width it really isnt than wide, only a bit wider than shoulder width. i tried to stay away from bars and naturally mimic the bottom part of the movement and then remember my hand spacing in this position and set bar this width apart form each other. good approach? same as makeing naturally pushup and then taking the very same grip to bench press.
