How is your hand spacing for these exercises:
BB row
Bench press
MIlitary press (standing)

For me, the widest is bench press, then about 4-5 inch narrower either side (jus outside shoulder width) row & military press

Rule of thumb is where the elbows come to a 90 degree angle when lowered/raised to a right angle. I find on a bench press or military press, if hand spacing causes less of an angle, there's more utilization of the triceps. Wider is doable, as long as the ROM in the worked muscle(s) is good. It can differ for people, especially with individual limb length I suppose. Or working around an impediment.

This is an excerpt from Mark Rippetoe's "Starting Strength". THE BEST BOOK EVER ON THE BASIC LIFTS AND PRESSES----PERIOD!!!!

"The grip for the press is determined by simple mechanics. The width is such that it places the forearms in a vertical position as seen from the back or front. The grip places your index fingers should be somewhere between the edge of the knurl and a half-inch out from the knurl. There are exceptionally large people who need a wider grip to keep the forearms vertical, but not many. Too wide a grip creates moment arms between the grip position on the bar and the elbows, between the elbows and the shoulders, and between the grip and the shoulders; and these moment arms are leverage you will have to overcome that need not be there at all. The choice ofequipment may not be up to you here, and most people will need to work with what they have." (Rippetoe "Starting Strength")

AND CHECK THE WEBSITE OUT FOR AWESOME ARTICLES AND VIDS!

He does weekend seminars that are SUPERB. Expensive (about $500 or more) but if you are serious about lifting then it is well worth the cost.

Just my thoughts! But hey.... I'm a girl so ..... LOL :p

Well for the row 45
try this; the hands act like a lucky hook doing less participation of biceps and feeling the effort in the lats. The grip is not the typical fake grup that we use, for example to the tall cable rows but one of the fingers aligned on the bar and not around it. This grip makes feel the tension so much better in the back. About the feet position, not sure, but can be for have more stability puting the feets in wedge position (like when u brake sking) it avoid the balance with a heavy weights.

Maybe can be a ridiculous see somewho putting the feets like that way, but can be kinda efective and should try it guys.

Sorry for some english mistakes:)
