View Full Version : Testicular Vericole
I have had some vericose veigns in my left testy since birth. Lately I have been trying to have a kid, but so far no luck. Could this be a cause? I have had it checked out before, but the doctors didnt do anything. I am going to go back soon and see if I can get an appointment with a fertility doc. Also never had my test checked out, but I heard this could also cause low T?
Making good gains now, but if getting it removed would also up my test then all the better.

I had the same thing, had the surgery, only had a 30% chance of improving fertility but it worked. After trying to conceive for 4.5 yrs, my wife got pregnant 3 months after the operation.
Also causes low T, I have at least 1 study saved that shows it.
Get it done.
Before it my sperm count and motility was ok but the morphology (shape) was very very bad, with the operation it came back to normal.
Whats the recovery period and such like? I am nervous about people touching my junk. My friend recently got a (gentle) visectomy and he whipped out his marble sack and it literally looked like someone beat it until it was black lol

I was off work for about a week and don't really remember the surgery so that speaks for something, no big deal.
On the other hand, I had an inguinal hernia surgery on the same side in 2005 and I remember that like it was yesterday, my whole groin and inner thigh were blue, my balls were swollen and blue, etc... That was bad the varicocelle, not so much.
Also, how badly do you want kids? That was more important to me then not liking people touching my junk.
Keep in mind the longer you wait, the more chances the testicular damage will not be reversible which means less chances of being fertile or having normal test in the future.

If having a kid is important to you, then even if there was only a 10% chance that this surgery would increase the chances of conception, than its a no brainer if you ask me!! Nothing will make you feel more self-accomplished than being a parent. I say go for it.
