Hey guys. I ran into a pharmacist today that was extremely rude as soon as I asked for needles. I ended up being able to only get 6 because she refused to sell me anymore. I asked if she could order an extra box so I could come and get more later and she demanded that I tell her what I needed them for and to give her the name of my doctor. Has anyone else ran into this? Are they allowed to refuse to sell needles?

I'm a member at Costco. It's 32.75 for 100 insulin needles. I don't know about the 3mls.

To be honest, it's very common what you experienced. You won't need a script for Needles, b-12 injections and insulin. But they have the right to refused someone if they think you're doing something wrong/dangerous.

You can always say this classic quote: "ok nevermind, I'll just reused my old ones, have an infection and told the hospital your refused to sell me some". Work all the time. Kind of stupid they refused to sell them. You PAY for this. You're not asking a favor... anyway!

If you don't want any hassle, just order online:

I'm a pharmacist and it blows my mind every time I hear stories like this. My guess is she was some old school ancient pharmacist. Like mentioned, just ask to speak with the manager. She can refuse to sell, but she can't be rude and dig into personal questions. When I sell 1CC syringes to 95% of the people I full well know they are going to go inject dope and the such, but I much rather they do it safe then be spreading unwanted HIV and such

PS - Please don't be an idiot and try to tell me you need the 21G 3ml syringes for your diabetic grandma or cat.... trust me, it's been said to me haha

I tried buying needles at the pharmacy once when I was like 16. said it was for b12. she refused me and then asked me 50 questions about why i was buying milkthistle. rofl.

needles are just one of those things you should probably order online. like extra small condoms.
