Saturday I pinned my right shoulder and I hit something going in. I've probably pinned myself several thousand times over the years and never have I felt so much pain. I pulled out right away without injecting which was more of a body response than anything due to the pain. Today its Tuesday and my bloody shoulder is still very sore. It even hurts to raise my arm. Did I hit a nerve or something going in? It also bled like a pig.

Not overly hard to push in no. It hurt so much and I pulled out so fast I could be wrong tho. All I could think about was the pain not if it was hard to get in.

If it was a nerve how long does it normally take for the pain to go away?

ya, sometimes hitting a nerve will subside over say a week, others it can stick around for a good month or two. I have hit nerves in delts before and don't like pinning delts if I don't have to. I have PLENTY of other sites.
All 3 delt heads, both bicep heads, both tri heads, traps, lats, pecs inner and outer, quads, glutes and calves.....no teardrops yet....they will come though, just a little sketchy since they get crazy pumps as it is on leg day, them being a fresh site, I know they will be tight and sore for a few days after the shot.

Nerve forsure. I feel for ya bro... I have done this too many times. The best is when your leg or arm kicks out with the pin still in it.

Thanks guys. Been putting ice on it. Doesn't seem to help much tho. I got Celebrex from my doctor to reduce the inflammation and Tridural for pain. (Good shit, Im as high as a kite right now)

I have kind of a double wammy going on right now. The day before I pinned my nerve I arm wrested a big guy at a party. I beat him in the arm wrestle but hurt my elbow. Doctor checked me out today and said I tore a ligament. This of course is in the same arm as my pinned nerve... Just peachy!

Definitely a nerve. It happens every now and then when I pin the lateral head of my tricep (I'm quessing because it's a smaller muscle). Years ago I was pinning my left glute and hit a nerve. I swear on my life, that syringe flew right across the bedroom. I have never pinned glutes ever since...
