Prae, i thought i'd get your take on this.... A 40 yr old female friend of mine is a diabetic and now has nerve damage in her foot/heel (diagnosed by doc)...Ater yrs of abusing her body she finally decided to get her diet in check and i'm helping her out with that...She wanted to take vitamins and supplements to help with the nerve damage to prevent and possibly reverse it but everywhere she reads ppl recommend everything under the sun...what do you think, vitamin wise might help her out. Is there a "one bottle" remedy? what's your take on this.
thanks in advance
p.s. i thought nerve damage couldn't be reversed

I highly doubt any vitamin or supp will alleviate nerve damage...I would really suggest MAT which is probably one of the few treatments that has been shown to rejuvenate nerves etc. Is she type 1 or 2 diabetic? Many type two diabetics can control things on a specific diet.

she is a type 2 diabetic and has been since she was 20. I know she'll spend lots of money searching for that magic pill to cure her and that's the thing i didn't want to see her do. It's unfortunate.
also,
thanks SS, she does know other diabetics but none of em have nerve damage just quite yet.... usually the diabetics that disregard their diet end up paying the consequences but i just might pm him anyways

There's nothing she can do. The only thing the diet will do is prevent further deterioration.
They always end up paying the consequences if they don't follow their diet.Know an older lady right now facing amputation of her foot.

She can control type ii with diet...low glycemic carbs and small amounts only...with good fats and protein..balanced meals...avoid white flour and sugars, junk food etc. She could also use a GDA with meals.
