Finally decided I'm going to buy a snow blower this winter,,screw shoveling, to hard on the back. Anyone know anything about buying a good snow blower. Brands to stay away from? How many cc to get etc?

I'm thinking of buying one. Look at the redflagdeals forums, there's a good thread on there about what to buy.

Here's the thread about deals for 2011.

I picked up one of the 28" Craftsman/MD snowblowers near the end of winter last year. Power steering, headlight, electric/pull starter, all that good stuff. I saved a few hundred bucks and picked it up for around 1100. Probably the best purchase I've ever made. I'm sure throwing snow is probably good exercise, but at 45 years old I was getting a little tired of heaving heavy shovelfuls of snow over my head for a few hours at a time.

Honda's are very nice because of the Tracks buy they are crazy expensive. Wish I could afford one though.

I will definitely go for a 2-stage though with a Briggs & Stratton engine.
