Try to think big picture. It seems like you aren't sure what is causing the problem but you are focusing on drugs/supplementation as the solution. There are other factors at play. Diet, hydration, warm-up, flexibility, exercise selection and execution, volume, recovery, age...

Information on what you have been doing in the gym may shed more light on the situation.

What motions/lifts cause the most popping and cracking

I get it on my elbows and shoulders and it feels like im tearing something when I simply move my arm around. My best advice is lower the weights or reps and take a day or two off. Its going to become a bigger problem if you dont stop pushing it. Also, before you lift, adjust your range of motion and lift at the sweet spot where no crackings going on.

I'm a older guy and have been lifting for over ten years.Odly enough the poping in my elbows started or at least i noticed when i wasent in the gym either around the house or at work it would happen.I do admit i dont drink enough water at all.I have used common sence and backed off the gym for a 2 weeks and when i do go not push so hard and it is getting better. As well went to see my doctor asnd he told me i am usuing new muscles at work so that doesnt help either and has given me some stuff to take and to return in a month and see how it goes.I was just curious what people with the bones cracking and poping in elbow joints do?I do see some people who are pushing heavy weights wrap their elbows is that a cheap fix for something that is wrong or is it necessary?

Cracking & popping is typically tendons and ligaments not muscle. For me (41), I've found adding an MSM Glucosamine, Chondroitin (500/400/400mg) 1 pill 3 x day works great. More than anything it's about a safe wieght for proper form and proper REST in between days. Give your body a chance to catch up & recover.

Hello,

Often if not always (similar to patella pain) the issue is not the elbow itself, but could be related to a rotator cuff, or misalignemnt of the shoulder gridle---rhomboid over activated or inhibited. Could be a real tight tricep, or bicep as well.
it could be the flexors or extensors along the forarm.

I am not a doctor, but I am trained in rehab.

Supplements wil help to an extend, but I would suggest getting down to the real source of the issue, before trying to intake a bunch of things.

I don't know if I make any sense.
