When I'm trying to gain strength/muscles, I use straight heavy sets, 5 times a week.

After a 16 weeks cycle, my body is tired and I usually switch to low volume, high intensity training, 4 times a week. I like using triple drop sets, rest pauses and tri-sets for arms. It shock my muscles. When I get back on cycle with straight heavy sets, my body seem to respond better than if I stayed with straight sets year long(even if I switch exercises).

What's your opinion on that?

After your gaining cycle your body and CNS require some downtime to recuperate and recharge...thus you need to reduce volume and intensity to allow the CNS to recover and also give your joints a break. I would suggest dropping the weight down about 20% and doing no more then 2-3 sets NOT going to failure for a few weeks.

thx alot man. Does it concern someone who is on hrt for life and cycle twice a year? I know you dont have a big cortisol rebound when you go on a hrt dosage(150mg/week) vs doing pct.

I would use the same deload no matter if you were natural, assisted or otherwise...your CNS still requires recharge.
