I am taking this opportunity to introduce myself to this community. I’ve been lurking around this site reading some amazing information from some kickass athletes. We are privilege to have access to so much information. Been training since early 2000 with AndreGregoire, also a member of this board.
Since the past 5 years, my life has positively changed in the past 5 years. We are now expecting a 3rd child (daughter to be born in next couple of days). Anyone who is a parent on this board knows how crazy it can get sometimes. There's not enough time in a day to do what needs to be done. It really is an art to try and maintain balance between all the variables... family, spouse, career, entertainment, etc.
Anyways, I'm making my best to keep healthy to have the required energy for my kids but it's really hard at times. The best I can do for now is hit the gym at 4:20AM (waking at 3:30AM) x 3 times week (with Andre) and eat relatively clean during the week. I doing to minimize impacts on the family and to be honest I can’t stand the crowded gym anymore.
I will be taking 37 weeks for parental leave starting September 6 which will give some more flexibility on the training/dieting side. So this got me to reflect on my situation and consequently to decide to go ahead and recruit the services of DeltKing. I know basic nutrition but there's nothing comparable to experience. The key factors for me for choosing him were:
• Reasonable pricing for my budget;
• Credibility;
• Him being a parent. Somehow I feel like he can probably relate and submit a plan that will well suited for my situation;
Main goal will be to lower body fat as much as possible without losing muscle mass (I haven’t got much). I see it this way: Invest, listen, execute, and succeed.
For more background, I lived in the National Capital Region my whole life, mother tongue is French but fluent in English, I have been working as a federal IT employee for the past 10 years (specializing in networking) ,I have been working out for about +- 13 years and competed as a lightweight in 2003. It was probably the most intense experience I have lived but the most important thing is that it got me threw depression after ending a 9 year relationship). Lifting weights has been the only sport for me. I simply love it although I am not gifted genetically which is really too bad.
I am presently sitting at 187-189lbs, ~20% at 5'6". Time to get things under control, this fat a$$ is getting way out of control. Only thing I need to do until I start is submit the before photos to DK which I find to be a most humbling experience.
I have all the faith in DK and I just hope I will be able to match his commitment and expectations.
