Nothing has really changed except the new editor. You can now use tables (similar to HTML tables) with the new editor. Concept of rows and columns for those that are not familiar with tables.
To get to use it, you have to click on the post reply button (go advanced). There you'll see the new icons on the editor. If they are off (not clickable) then you need to go into Forum Actions->General Settings->Message Editor Interface->Set Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing and click save.
