Hey guys,

Been training for some time now. I was measuring my arm a few days after my arm workout and I gained a half inch to my arms. I measured it again the next day to make sure my measurement was consistent and what not and it was the same gain. One week from my last arm workout, my arms shrank by a half inch, so it felt as if I lost my gain if there was any. Why did this occur? I notice this pattern every week, it will gain, then lose. Is there some kind of pump that stays for a few days after a workout?..I know there is the one right of out the gym.. but this I don't get.

Any insight?

Ps: I measure my arms while flexed.

The muscle groups you worked the days after bi's and your diet. For example back still hits your bi's a bit and can pump them up, and triceps make up a large portion of your arm so and presses will do the same.

For a few days after an arm workout your arms might have slight inflammation and be a bit bigger, also they might hold a bit more glycogen. I have noticed the same.
