I'm not sure if this is already on this board or not but anyways... I've started dctraining and so far I like it. I only lift 3x a week and as I'm bussy thats great. I have the DCtraining video and if you don't know all that much about DC I'd recomend getting the DVD from trueprotein.com It makes you write evrything down and train with more reps or more weight so no doing the same things all the time for the same(or lack of) results. Anyone else useing DC on here?

Is'nt dog crap training simply a variation of Mike Mentzer's ideas who was influenced by Arthur Jones (guy who invented nautalis)?
Nothin' really new about the theory and if you like heavy weight and low reps then groove on it.
I like heavy and low rep/set schemes and have added valuable muscle since converting from volume training.
In the end I guess it is whatever floats your boat!

dc training is quite a bit diff than mentzers training style.......its high intensity but not necessarily low rep......i think the rep ranges dante recommends are between 11-50......and thats def not low rep.......it is just 1 workset.....and only 1 exercise per bodypart......and you train more frequently then mentzer's plan.........remember to do the extreme stretching

I worked with Dante years ago and it was money well invested.

The video is great, and I really love DC training as well. It's great for me since I'm not good with high reps, I'm better at HIT.

I've continued to gain strength and size, even when dieting.

My 2 cents. It works because it forces people to write stuff down for once, and causes you to go back to the OLD progressive resistance approach...actually it forces you. People should stop calling it lifting weights or weight training...it should be called progressive resistance training, because that's what makes muscles grow bigger and get stronger and the PROGRESSIVE increase in weights is imo one of the biggest factors for your success. Add in a few little coin terms and you have DC training.

1996zj, does the video go into the details of diet and the training? or is it more of the type of muscle worshiper useless videos where the guy trains and doesn't explain f*ck-all?

It's that old saying you keep hearing at the gyms all the time. Complete newbs wondering why they don't grow bigger and all they do is lift the same weight for the past year and never eat pre or post-workout.
