I've never liked the way Herb Dean referees a fight.

Looks like he landed a couple on Fedor from a very good position. He's known for giving his all.Ref was the closest man.Rematch would be interesting.

The hook knocked out Fedor, other shots were bonus. The ref did the right thing.

was knock out for a second but fedor himself turn around on his back to stay in defense, at that point he wasnt out.
could of said the same thing for Henderson, fedor drop Henderson just before, the ref didnt stop the fight at that point.

With two experience athletes like them the ref should of let the fight go until it was clear that one of them was out cold.

The KO was very short. I think Herb had no choice to intervene as Fedor received 2 clean shots to the back of the head after that. Any more and it would have been dangerous. Couldn't give a warning at that point as Fedor was clearly in trouble and it wouldn't be fair to Dan. Tough call but probably the best in that situation.

The HD is a lot more clear. I can see the justification for the stoppage although this is one of those fights that also could have continued. Still seems to me that Herb Dean was a little too anxious to get in there and stop it.

Could be.After the beating Lesnar got it might look like that.Henderson has lots of tude now and wants to beat up on UFC offerings to unify the title. And he just might do that.

Poor choice of words on my part. Should have said 2 undefended punches to the back of the head ;)

Anderson Silva has gotten away with questionable strikes but the bottom line is Fedor was not defending...

That was a bad stoppage.

Herb Dean is the one that needs to retire after that fight.

It does look a tad quick in that vid.Hard to say what would have followed.

Herb Dean defends his decision. He says Fedor was not defending and the shots were borderline.
