It sure does make you want to shop across the boarder that's for sure !

The Canadian companies should be bringing their prices down or face the consequence’s.

I am sorry to be negative about this, but we should support the economy that supports us. Worth thinking about next time you go to the Doctor. I have had three appointments for my arm injury, expensive tests, and got into see a sports medicine doctor as well as continuing Physio. Didn't cost me a dime. I know we are heavily taxed here in Canada but there is a reason for it.

I'd contact them and ask for a discount. If they value you as a customer, they should give it too you!

It's not about getting myself a discount. It's the dollar and it's not just supplement companies it's everything ( from cars to books ) we are still paying hire prices than we should be.... Hell if I can go down the the US and pick up a Harley for $10,000 and it's going to cost me $18,000 here I'm going to go and get it :). THe way I see is these companies should take care of us the customers as it works both ways.

I'm not smashing any specific company here it's just the way it is in Canada , we pay hire prices for the same quality stuff that the US pays much lower for. Next time you go to a book store look at the back cover - $15 in CAD $12 in USD - why ?? Maybe I'll go to the bank and take out a bunch of USD and start paying for things that way :)

rant done , lol ...

Canadian companies attempt to justify the price discrepancy by saying that the volume sold in the US is much higher, hence the lower price. If you ask me its a complete scam and Canadians just love bending over and getting rammed up the ass and doing nothing about it. If everyone shopped cross border for a while Canadian companies would be forced to reduce their prices to compete. Im all in favour of cross border shopping, but the shipping rate at Trueprotein in my opinion is still too heavy to make it worthwhile for myself. Really good line up of products and good quality stuff as I have tried samples, but the shipping cancels out the benefits if making a big order. I think I was quoted at $50 to ship my order of a bunch of protein and some other goodies. Id love to give their products a go, but till the shipping becomes more competitive its not gonna happen.

I respect that, but i in turn hope you arent watching a sony tv, or paying for your cable bill for american companies, or watching american made movies etc.....But i for the most part agree, but your point is kind of not a valid one considering...Only watch Canadian made tv shows and movies from here on in young man....LOL
Number 8, you make good points....I wish there was something that could be done in regard to shipping, but thats the contract they have...The only thing i could say would be the coupon code, and specials along with the higher dollar do offset the cost a bunch...Dont forget what you see as a total gets adjusted when your credit card makes the tally up on your price charged to your credit card as you will see on your statement, after the higher dollar amnt in Canada is factored in......But again, you make a good point as usual....:beer

One shouldnt have to ask....As Talo said why does the automotive industry and parts and tires, and Motorcycle and RV industry not just do it...Try and ask them for a discount.....
I like the way you think, but its not very realistic at this point anyways...

Honestly IW, I tried their chocolate coconut flavour and I almost jizzed in my pants. That is the best tasting protein shake maybe ever. Canadianprotein.com makes a mean chocolate peanut butter, but I gotta tip my hat to the TP guys with that choc coconut. I have never tasted anything so unbelievable in all my life with ZERO carbs lol. Truly heartbreaking that I only got to have it once.
