It's looking grim for Jack Layton,it appears his previously treated prostate cancer has spread.He's lost weight and appears to be in pain.Tough battle for him now.

unfortunate....i liked layton

my father had prostate cancer, caught it too late, nothing they could do, slow & painful. I miss him everyday.

Never a fan politicly of Layton but i'm glad he stepped down so he can properly fight for his life, I hope he pulls through. Sorry for you loss Boss^^

It's bad luck to wish that on anybody.I feel sorry for his wife,the photo in the Sun of her tells it all.

I find it interesting that he sees private practitioners to help alleviate his health problems when he was leading the forefront on lambasting Harper for trying to introduce a two tier healthcare system. I cant stand his politics or self righteous freedom fighter attitude but I dont wish that painful situation on anyone short of a serial rapist / murderer.

Exactly - He's a politician and they will say one thing and do another.

I'm not a fan of the NDP , but I wouldn't wish this on anyone - Hope he makes it.
