Experiencing side effects
I am a 55 year old male type 2 diabetic taking HRT because of low t. I am currently taking the following
testosterone propionate 25mg/ml x 4ml
nandrolone 50mg/ml x 4ml
boldenone 50mg/ml x 2ml
vit b-12 3000mcg/ml x 0.5ml
all mixed in a 10ml syringe slowly injected deep sq in 2 seperate sites on inner or outer thighs repeated 2x/day with a 25g 5/8 inch needle.
diabetes meds current hba1c - 7.0
glyburide 5mg 2x/day
metformin 850mg 2x/day
lipids
simvastatin 20mg/day
BP
propranolol 40mg hs
amlodipine 10mg/day
losartan 100mg hs- to protect kidneys
thyroid
levothyroxine 0.2mg qd
blood pressure, cholesterol, thyroid, hba1c all within normal limits. can't get triglycerides below 250 although I am told by doctor that this is no big deal.
total testosterone 3,281 on 3/11/2011 last test
estradiol 27.3 pg/ml on 2/28/2011
I live in the dominican republic and play masters league softball about 3 times a week -2 games a day-. For about the past 2-3 months i have had a chronically stiff neck, and experienced significant muscle heaviness, like a resistance keeping me from lifting especially my right arm, although i can still lift it but i can feel the difference. I can't do pushups now either and could do about 30 at a time before. this all starated after i was out of action for about 2 months, sedentary with foot elevated, because of an ankle injury and have since stopped going to the gym. I feel like i have much less energy, although I do feel very strong, and was wondering if this could be due to some sort of neuromuscular effect the injections might be having or perhaps its the benzyl alcohol or some other ingredient in the injections. Please don't tell me i,m just getting old!
Thanks

I seriously doubt it has anything to do with the injections or BA. If you are on HRT why testosterone propionate...that is very inefficient and inconvenient...a long ester test such as testosterone cypionate taken once or twice weekly is the standard for HRT here in North America. Also why are you taking boldenone and nandrolone? As for the B12 1000-2000mcg once daily is all that is necessary if you are deficient...does blood work show you are deficient? 200mcg is quite high for T4 daily...this could be causing the lethargic feeling. As for blood pressure, cholesterol, lipids...all can be lowered through the proper diet which would also most likely alleviate your diabetes as well. Getting the correct ratio of omega fats from foods and removing processed carbohydrates, adding adequate fibre etc will all help.
I would suggest a restructured eating plan with exercise and looking at a long ester test along with your current T4 dosage.

Test prop is readily available here in the dominican republic and can be bought without precription in veterinary supply stores. Longer chain esters and products like sustanon can be found in pharmacies here but are much more expensive. Isn't it true that longer chain esters lead to more aromatization? Because I am injecting deep SQ I don't mind doing it daily and this also maintains a more level blood concentration. my last free t3 on 175mcg of l-thyhroxine was 1.93 *1.71-3.71* so i upped it to 200 to see where it takes me but have onlty been on this dose for about a week now so i doubt its the thyroxine. I currently take about 20 different dietary supplements twice a day including omega fatty acids, all the new and old antioxidants, as well as multi vitamin minerals, ginseng, resveratrol, lycopene, beta carotenes and am a follower of the life extension foundation and have been doing so for about 30 years as well as reccomending and selling the same as a pharmacist. I eat freshly prepared food bought at the local market daily including lots of salad veggies and fiber, whole grain breads, fresh fruit and juices so I think my diet is pretty good. my one weakness is alcohol as we tend to drink abit here! I have stopped my injections for the past 4 days and am feeling a lot better. when I start again it will be at much much more reasonable dose. MIKE

Get rid of the Nandrolone and Boldenone its unnecesary...just use the test as HRT. Long esters may cause more aromatization in high doses but not likley in HRT dosages...at 200mg weekly you will little if any aromatization of test.

So you're following a life extension program. How does heavy drinking fit in with this?

smart ass eh?
No,a realist. If you want to feel like an old man than keep right on with the drinking.Do you expect to feel fresh from poisoning yourself repeatedly?I hope you don't smoke as well.

must have given you the impression that i drink excessively? I actually only drink on average once a week but do tend to get a pretty good buzz on. I am not on a life extension plan but am a fan of their products and the company. And now you have me pegged for a smoker? wrong again not a heavy drinker who poisins himself regularly nor a smoker. I do however have sex quite frequently. part of living a long healthy life is enjoying oneself with family and friends and I do a lot of that here. just guessing and no offense intended but you guys seem so hung up on the healthy lifestyle thing that you've got your sphincters squeezed a little to tight which can lead to sever constipation which if it doesn't shorten your life sure will make it less enjoyable. loosen up a bit!
