what do u guys suggest i eat before i work out. i eat lunch at 1pm and dont eat anything between 1 and 6 and go to gym at 6 20ish. what should i pack. im looking for something easy and fast to eat and also easy to make too. i went to gym once with just eating a 6 inch sub pizza sub from subway and found i even didnt have enough power to lift weights .
anything cheap and easy to make be great. any suggestions. or even any powder drinks that can give me the energy to lift for 1 hr

wow where to start. You should eat 1pm, 3pm and have a shake at 5pm before you train. A crappy pizza sub with processed meat and sauces isnt your best choice either

3pm
shake
1 scoop of whey
1 cup of milk
1 banana
1 tbsp of peanut butter (if 200lbs+, take 2)
5pm
1 cup of rice
6-7oz of chicken breast
1 tbsp of olive oil
6pm
If you need extra energy, drink a coffee or have preworkout drink (jack3d, razor8, 1mr...). But be careful with caffeine. Make sure you can sleep properly.

This is good but reverse the order...have the whole food meal first at 3pm then the shake at 5pm...the shake will digest faster and you will have a better workout.

you don't have to eat anything before or after your workout! what's the most important is to hit your macro at the end of the day ! I train fasted in the morning and eat my pwo meal (not shake) 4-5 hour later!

I'm not trolling! I'm dead serious!
I have scientific research back-in my claim do you have scientific research to support your claims?
I'm talking about Science here not some Pro bodybuilder that is sponsored by a supplement compagnie that he doesn't even follow what he is saying!

Post your research...there are many studies out they supporting some hokey theories that lack validity when put into context (especially in terms of athletics)...years of experience combined with a solid understanding of nutrition and physiology proves otherwise.

I'm not saying that what pepole are doing is wrong. Just saying it's not necessary!Alot of pepole don't enjoy the bodybuilding way of eating and they don't realize that they can achieve their goal by just hitting their macronutrient at the end of the day!

These studies do not support what you are saying in terms of fat loss or muscle gain...they are primarily based on obese of sedentary subjects with no indication of proper marco nutrient ratios for muscle growth or preservation on a calorie restricted or surplus diet. They also contradict what you are saying about fat loss...ie eating as in one meal per day or "gorging" leads to a higher deposition of adipose tissue and elevated insulin levels...which most know who understand the evolution of dietary nutrients in humans...ie humans have billions of fat cells which can increase in size a thousand fold and even multiply if necessary based on the fact that through evolution the "fattest" survived because they were able to deposit fat at a faster rate hence sustain energy levels in the coming famine. To counter this is to stabalize insulin levels and maintain a steady source of amino acids which again the study does not address.
We are talking optimum nutrition with a specific goal here...these studies are not addressing that...there is much in the way of research to prove how optimum nutrition will enhance muscle building, fat loss, or muscle preservation...if you are looking for informative sources to back this up I would suggest you research some or all of the following...what they all have in common is that there are specific responses by the body to specific marco nutrients, ratios, timing, etc and to optimize these will results in an increae in overall health and performance.

He just wants to know what to drink so he can keep up with his workout right? Drink a protein shake bro and eat a banana before workout.

Sometimes I use those Gatorade pre-workout pouches (I know I know, I should not listen to those ads), I know something else would be preferable, but it gives me what I need in term of immediate energy when I don't have a pre-workout drink close by.
