View Full Version : Quad Shot issue / tearing scar tissue?

Had something new happen in the gym tonight, was doing squats, very light only 135 as I had stopped all squatting and lower body for over a month due to lower back issues and an injury I'm recovering from.

On my second set of 135 I felt what seemed to be almost a bit of a crunching or maybe a bit of tearing in my left quad. from my lifting experience and long list of previous injuries it doesn't feel or appear to be a tear, only slight swelling and a hint of redness around my injection area.

I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and if it could have been scar tissue from shot breaking up.

I shot my left quad every 8th day with 2cc test/deca mix, no issues or real pain ever on my shots. However since I havent been training them due to my injury and also neglecting doing my foam rolling from training around my lower back I'm thinking it may have been a scar tissue build up.

Opinions?

Which brings me to my next potential issue either adding in a new shot site thats going to handle 2cc, and delts arent an option, or to lower my dose and just do 2 glute shots per week.

Opinions on this as well, thanks

Forgot to mention it was six days since I shot that quad and there were no issues at all with any shots previous

Quad shots make my thighs feel dead.

Used to pins my pecs all the time, did a 12 week all short ester cycle about 5 years ago, I actually did them the other day with .5cc using a 29g slin pin just to see how they would take. Went well. I am trying to avoid shooting my upper body out of personal preference.

After some reading and coming up with a couple options to keep everything going I tried my first Ventro gluteal shot today, after 4 years of cycling I almost feel dumb for not doing this before. So all is back to schedule and no more quads shots either
