depression kicking in a bit , loss of motivation in training so im thinking that a week off is in order , question is....will cardio be ok to do during this period ? Gym is all i have so LOL

cardiovascular training has been proved to help people with mild-moderate depression more than the meds

i strongly encourage cardio regardless. I really do prefer the ripped look of cardio vs the extreme dieting. And if you get into "real" cardio like mountain biking/road biking, hiking you can have ALOT of fun while you do it.

Hi Beserker,
Some effective tips for you to beat depression.
Talk with your family members and share your problems with them. Mild exercises and yoga are great to reduce depression also. Increase water intake, eat well balanced diet plan and if you do not eat well take multivitamin regularly. Avoid alcohol, smoking and other stimulants.

Cardio is fine to do and it'll act as an active rest period. I agree with above though doing something like hiking, riding a bike or some type of sport you can do a few times a week makes cardio way more fun than walking on a tread mill etc.
