Hello,
I am currently researching thermogenics to determine what would be most effective for my needs. There are a few products on the market that seem to get mixed reviews. What I would like to know is what are the characteristics of a good quality thermogenic (e.g. Certain ingredients at a minimum quantity, ingredients to avoid, etc). I am doing a tested show so ephedrine and clen are not options for me. Any insight on this is greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards,
SmallLady

Then caffeine is your best bet...200mg (in table form not coffee) prior to training and cardio sessions will make a significant difference in intensity levels and fat loss.
P
you could also throw in some green tea, or green tea extract pills in there as well. EGCG has some powerful lipolysis and antioxidant effects.

Thanks Praetorian and #8, for your input.
Having done some research, it would seem that the key ingredient to most legal fat burners would be the caffeine (I believe that is what makes the green tea extract effective, unless there is another component to it that is conducive to fat loss??).
I was going to invest in either hydroxycut or ripped freak, but it is very difficult to determine what is so great about them. I don't want to just buy it because it got 9/10 ratings on bodybuilding.com; I want to understand what is in these products that make them superior to other like-products.
In any case, it is looking like my best bet is to combine a bunch of different supplements together and create a "stack" that will hit all areas of fat loss. CLA, chromium, grapefruit, ginger, and cayenne pepper are a few substances that seem to contribute to fat loss in their own way. I guess I will just keep researching until I can decide what the best combination will be for me.
In the mean time, any more insight on what to look for in a good thermogenic would be greatly appreciated :)
green tea doesnt contain that much caffeine, and the extract contains almost zero. its the EGCG that I mentioned.
