not a internet source from what i heard. local kid, with no job, driving a range rover and giving out lists locally to every tom, dick and undercover cop.

Social networking sites were used to advertise, say police.

He deserved to get caught.

Well, when you put a list on an open source board domesticly I don't really see how thats any safer than Facebook.
Any cop that wants to can place an order, and get whatever info they need.
IMHO its really just a matter of if they want to put the time and resources into it........

Rob,surely sources on boards can't be using an assigned IP,or a smartphone in their own name....could they?

Maybe not, but domestic is a lot different than shipping from a country with no extradition treaty, and easily bribable LE I would think?
From what I've seen a lot of free encripted email has played ball with the authorities before, and there was talk of a bill ( don't know if it passed ) that allowed LE to access personal internet information without a warrant, specifically to target this type of thing.
From what I've read even tor isn't bullet proof..... Basically if someone has the time and resources they will find you.... not that any amount of either is worth a dime of taxpayers money lol, its pretty sad when the best thing for le to do is chase a few guys doing no harm to themselves or anybody else.
