View Full Version : Question to those who use year round

I'm looking to run test year round....well actually maybe for many many years. This is very preliminary at this point. I'd like to hear opinions and experience before I continue.

The plan:

12 weeks T400 - 1000mg/week
20 weeks T400 - 400mg/week
HCG every 6th week still working on how much and time (EOD, 2x per weeks, etc...)

during the 12 weeks I'll most likely throw in another compound like dbol for the first 5 weeks, of run EQ or Tren throughout. Would love to run primo but looking at cost and shot volume, maybe not.

and repeat

Reasoning:

I hate working so hard to gain strenght and size only to loose some everytime I come off. I eat the same, supplement to same, workout (or try to) the same, but I still loose some strenght and size. Why waste money and time playing the "two steps forward, one step back game".

Also I find when coming off I get discouraged by any loss, which I know will happen to some degree, and end up eatting shit food to try and keep my cals high. I eat a lot cleaner when on. Really when I'm off I get fat, on I stay lean.

I'm thinking that keeping my test levels around 400 should help keep loss to a minimum. The HCG should keep my nuts alive so one day I can come off. In the reading I've been doing on HRT I see the trend is now focused on maintaining your bodies ability to produce test on its own by running Test concurrent with HCG and/or clomid.

For those who don't know me from way back--About me/Stats

Training: about 12 years
Cycles: around 8

Most cycles have been test with dbol for the first few weeks, run with deca. Recently I've been just running test/dbol only.
Weight: 265lbs
Height: 6'4"
Bodyfat: not sure exactly but I can see abs and veins...holding a bit extra in the lower abdomen (spare tire).

Diet: Aside from protein I really only don't pay too much attention to counting Carbs and Fat.

My protein intake is based on 2.5-3.5g per pound of body weight. 2.5g is the lowest I allow my self, I try to hit 3.5g when I can...usually end up shitting the whole evening away though :D

Not that these matter but some lifts:

Bench: somewhere in the 350 range depending on the day and how many sets before
Deads: I don't go above 405 due to lower back/sciatica issues.
Squats: 365 I know....fairly weak for my weight. Again I rarely use that weight due to lower back/sciatics issues.

The rest...who cares lol

Now the questions:

Who has done this? Pros? Cons?

Do you run HCG? if so how much and how often?

Do you run clomid with the HCG? one without the other?

Would you recommend running year round? any changes to lenght of time at high dose?

And anything else you wish to add.

Thanks

IF I were to do that, I would blast hard for however many weeks you feel is sufficient, then cruise for a period taking low dose GH, 250-300mg test, and other peptides you could use as well. Then when you feel you are ready then do another blast. Just keep blasting and cruising. Slowly working up the dosages over time. I would go blast with 1g test, 600mg EQ with an oral in there because where do you go down the road from there? 3g? 4g? 5g? a week, no thanks. I would also run low dose GH the whole time 2-3iu per day until your ready to diet down.

Taking HCG during this time I am not sure would be of benefit as your going to be shut down for a rather long time no matter how you look at it. Some might be able to bounce right back from it, someone else might not ever be able to bring levels back to normal so you really need to exercise caution and think about the future and whether it worth the risk to stay on and gain a few extra pounds when by staying on than rather the 2 steps fwd, 1 step back as you said.

I also see a problem that you arent doing anything to help keep any of your gains when you do come off because you mention you eat cleaner when on cycle. If anything you need to pay more attention to your diet when off cycle as well as your supplementation. You shouldnt be losing all that much in between cycles to the point that you get discouraged. This tells me the majority you put on when on cycle may be water weight if you tend to lose alot when you come off. If you eat clean when on and eat clean when off and make solid gains when on cycle you shouldnt lose a whole ton when you do come off, other than some muscle fullness an a bit of strength.

Use hcg if you want to stay fertile during your usage. 2X250iu during cruise and 2X375-500iu during blast.

200mg of cyp is plenty for a cruise. More and you wont gain as much during your next blast. Using too much test during a cruise (300+) will give you elevated red blood cells, which is something you need to avoid as much as possible if you're cruising and blasting.

And are you willing to use test all your life? It might happen if you stay on for years

During your cruise, your goal is to get back to normal (cholesterol, red blood cell, testosterone in the higher normal range). You need to have blood works done to know what work for you.

For some people, 200mg will be too much.

First thanks for the reply.

I guess I made it sound like I loose a lot. Really your last line sums it up here, mostly I loose the muscle fullness and strenght. Weight wise I loose about 5-7 pounds after around 3 weeks of being off. This is where the mind kicks in fearing I'll loose too much, so I tend to gravitate towards quick unhealthy protein sources like the KFC double down or 3-4 McD's double cheeseburgers etc... So I end up putting a good layer of fat on top of what new muscle I've gained. Strenght usually only comes down slightly (example 15-20lbs off my bench).

I have been able to come off in the past staying lean until the next cycle, but the last two I have found the above scenario happening. I'm thinking that by keeping a slightly higher than biological test dose in me I'll be able to keep the mind in check and stay eatting clean and healthy and keep a bit more of the fullness and strenght, if loose any at all. I think it's more of a self "mind-****" than anything else.

Thanks for the HCG dose advice.

The reason I want to cruise at 300-400 is strictly due to my weight. Most drugs are (or at least should be) dosed based upon bodyweight. Being 250-260lbs during a cruise I think I would need more than 200mg/week. I've also been toying with the idea of 400mg every 10 days, which would roughly put me in the range of 340-360mg per 7 day.

Blood work is a definite, I'll be getting regular blood work done throughout. I have access to lab techs, nurses, and doctors I work with so I can bypass a lot of waiting for orders and results, heck I should be able to draw my own blood too.

As for having to stay on test for the rest of my life. If I go through with this, I'll most likely run through 18-20 months at first, then stay completely off for a while, and if all seems well from there with blood work etc, try again for a longer run.

any more than 200 a wk and you arent cruising....you'd still be on cycle....if you're gonna do that might as well just use 500/wk and quit with the chickenshitness ;)

If you go over 200mg/week (human grade, no underdosed ugl products), your lipids, blood pressure, red blood cell count will never get back to normal... That's mean the steroids will damage your health after a few months. It could even it could kill you, seriously.

Some competitors might cruise at 500mg and cycle at 2g+, but they are followed by an endo. They probably use cholesterol and high blood pressure meds to reduce the sides. If you can't received this kind of help, I dont think it will worth it man...

When you cruise, you shouldn't lose any strength. Of course you will feel a difference versus 1g+ in your endurance. Just reduce your volume and crank up the intensity (rest pause, triple drop set, forced reps...) and that should keep your gains.
