View Full Version : Taking GH at night = less fatigue

I know it's supposed to be better to take GH first this in the morning, but the daytime fatigue was so bad it was killing my productivity and motivation in a major way. After reading about a couple of people taking it at night, I've been trying that for a week or two now and I feel SO much less fatigue during the day, the difference is huge.

Some say that taking GH in the morning makes the body feel like it is time for sleep, like during the usual natural GH release, causing fatigue. Some argue that taking it at night could suppress natural GH production ability, but this is still debatable. I'm now using the 5 on/2 day off split to potentially reduce this risk. For me, there is no other way I would take GH. It was not worth the brutal daytime fatigue and nap attacks.

The first part is true...but will subside with time based on other post on other boards.
The second statement...I have yet see where it's debatable where it suppress your natural GH levels....even if it does why take the risk? and waste your GH? when your own GH kick in at night. and they do kick in at night....thats when your natural GH levels are the highest....and thats not debatable.

Natural GH production peeks 3 hours after falling asleep.
the HL of rHGH is 6 hours I believe so it will suppress your natural production.
If one goes to bed at 9:30pm I find taking GH around 4:30pm works well as one gets the fatigue and are ready for bed.

I always thought the hl was way less than that, like an hour or so... Oh man, now I gotta do research...

ya...it guess it all depends when you go to sleep...some people nap during the day and some people do night shift. I guess You gotta do what works for you.

Serum half-life after IV injection is approximately 20 to 30 minutes. After intramuscular (IM) or SQ injection, serum concentrations decline, with a half-life of approximately 3 to 5 hours. This decline reflects continued release of the hormone from the injection site. Approximate duration of action of somatropin is 12 to 48 hours.

It appears that the mode of delivery is the key. I was a little off so I apologize.

i gotta admit, the daytime fatigue is annoying, but i think worth it to get some of your own production at night. That might be a good compromise with a mid-afternoon shot.....as long as no one from work looks in my bag LOL

I go to bed around 11:30pm, wake up at 6:30am to do my shot and go back to bed and wake up around 8. I find I'm not as tired during the day with this timing. This way it should not interfere with my natural production. And I know you are not suppose to eat carbs within an hour of your shot so when I wake up at 8am I can eat right away.

this is also something that surprised me when i heard it last year... however i was unable to find anything to explain why this was reccommended.

I dont understand how guys who take it post workout take it if this is the case...... or most others for that matter. Im doing cardio in the am on no food so i do my shot before hand but otherwise your up waiting an hour to eat???

You will get different answers on GH. Here's my opinion, at night time when your asleep your body produces it's own Gh so why would you waste an injection of GH at night if your body is already producing it? Yes some get fatigued after a GH shot but that's just one of the sides that you'll have to adapt in order to do a proper GH cycle. I have said this before, GH don't bother taking GH unless your doing at least a 4month cycle minimum, ideally 6months.

Okay, not sure if it is true but I read that HGH makes you insulin resistant which is why you should wait to consume carbs. Also read that eating carbs could make the HGH less effective.

i like to avoid carbs for 90minutes prior and 3 hrs after hgh shots.
