Warm hellos to everyone,

I have been doing some reading on this site trying to learn as much as I can. I have a question about figure competing -- the one clearly stated in the title of this thread.

I have looked at pictures of some of the top figure athletes from 2003 to present and while it seems like their figures are naturally attainable, I was wondering what realistically occurs at this level of competition. Are there certain ergogenic aids that are considered widely common among figure athletes or are the percentages of natural figure athletes considered quite high?

I thank you for your helpful insight on this matter.

Genetics over drugs are going to play a very prominent role in anyone attaining that level of success.

The answer is actally quite simple...It depends what you mean by aspire. there have only been about 5 figure competitors who have ever won the figure olympia. And with the thousands and thousands of competitors across the world who have ever competed, most would dream to be at that level, sure...But again, only 5 ever did it. So can a natural aspire? Well, not really - but neither can 99.99% of the population!

Genetically, the winner is going to be gifted. They are the type of people who win shows naturally, and then with a little help win bigger shows. All of the figure olympia winners (if not natural now) would likely still be winning competitions naturally. Maybe not at the same level, but the point is, if you aren't blowing away your competition naturally, then drugs are not going to change that. You're shape and structure are not changed - just the size, and possibly hardness (which can benefit some competitors, and not otherS).

If your question is 'are the winners natural?' ...then the answer is maybe. But in most cases, no - because of the direction figure took. In fact, many bikini competitors at the elite level are not going to be 'natural' in the truest sense of the word. Some of the bikini girls are getting harder then they used to look for. And things like anti-estrogens, and fat burners are definitely going to come into play.

My final verdict is that if you can't become a figure olympia with VERY minimal amount of the most simplest type of 'non-natural' compound - I am talking doses so low that some people might not even 'feel' it working, then you'll never win the olympia.

This is actually a similar story for men...The top 10 guys in the world would actually place high on a national level without drugs as long as everything else was equal, diet, training, etc...They might win light-heavy / heavy divisions instead of winning the olympia at 280 pounds.

Thank you for your responses, Delt King and Steve_d; much appreciated.

I would imagine that the concept of being genetically-gifted would apply to any activity. All top-achievers usually have an innate gift in their respective field. In any case, it still sounds like even the innate is supplement by ergogenic aids at the elite level.

So what ergogenic aids are typically used by figure athletes at that level? I have heard that winstrol is very common but I have otherwise no clue.

Ive seen some protocols of a few top figure girls from about 5 years ago, things might of changed a bit since then, but I was more than just a bit of this and that. So I would say hell no to your inquiry.
