Does the referral program work every time someone orders or only the first time a new customer orders? Does it have to be a new customer? Existing customers do not get to use the discounts?

Codes work for new customers only.

Really ? THat seems a bit wired. Why wouldn't it work for everyone , all the time ?

So that means it only works one time with someones first order then right? If someone re-orders that I have referred are they no longer considered a new customer?

I sent a pm asking the same thing, they said its only for their first order.

But yea kinda odd that its like a one time code. But hey its a discount is a discount. But what if someone on this board lets say uses my code but isnt a new customer?

Yes, but there are lots of supplement stores out there that offer discount codes for ALL their customers and they can be used all the time.

I was going to join this referal program to help out some people, but not now.

To be honest, this referral program seems a little weak compared to what some competitors offer. I understand you guys offer good quality supps at VERY competitive prices as I am one of your best customers, but at the same time, this referral program leaves little room for anyone to make any real savings on an order.

Perhaps you can revamp it slightly to benefit the consumer a little better? Maybe reduce the bucks accumulated on each order but make it a permanent thing? I appreciate your agenda, and its a step in the right direction, but as of right now Im not a big fan of the new program.

Im not saying this is the greatest program ever, but the other companies are a little more pricey when it comes to their whey and stuff. But I fully agree if it was a ongoing thing (it would be a lot better) and maybe instead of 15% credit maybe make it 10% credit?

You guys really should take the advice i gave you on FB as to how to structure your affiliate program because you are missing the boat completely.

8, it was pretty much the same questions being asked now, and this was their answer "Hi XXXXXXX, there are a few reasons, first is because we're looking for new customers. Second, on products like protein the margins are simply not high enough. Another reason is because more than 50% of our customers come from word of mouth referrals and this a way for us to try and give back to our customers that have and will be referring new customers anyways."

Hey Guys, we really appreciate your feedback and totally understand where everyone is coming from. We'll try to address everything for you. Our program allows everyone the opportunity for a code, and yes it is only for new customers. Why? Because of the fact that we offer pretty low prices comparatively speaking for the quality we offer, free shipping, and etc. it would be very difficult to make what we need to make if we offered residual income for consecutive orders for the same customer.

Nate, we do understand how affiliate programs work, and for the most part, we have seen these programs are more tailored to different industries where margins are much higher (ex. software, ebooks, etc.). Many of these programs also use expiring cookies anyways so if the customer creates a cart and doesn't go back within, say, 30 days of that initial creation (or however long the program allows) the cookies expire (or if they delete without knowing) and the affiliate is SOL of the commission leaving the only way for the affiliate to collect commissions is that if the person navigates through the affiliates banner, link, etc. after the cookies expire. In this industry we have seen that almost never does a person buy without researching the product, company, reviews, etc. and even then they may not be ready to buy as they may have stock still being used from another brand and sometimes that takes months before their first purchase. We're not affiliate or marketing experts by any means, but this is what was told to us when we contacted the major affiliate program companies when we first launched the new website and was told such a program may not be the best idea for this type of industry. Are they right or wrong? Who knows.

We are trying our best to give back to our loyal customers since we didn't offer anything like this from the beginning.

If you guys would like to see commissions for each order regardless of new or existing customers we would probably have to charge shipping and that I can guarantee wouldn't be pretty as any order out of the Ontario and Quebec regions would be pretty high.

With that said, we are also launching a rewards program for existing customers that make repeat orders with us that will be able to redeem product and should be up and running very shortly.

We are always up for any criticism and advice as we are here for you guys and always will be so fire away and let us know.

How is giving away products for repeat customers (which would be sweet) any different from having people able to use the 5% coupon more than once? Wouldnt giving away product to existing repeat customers be more expensive? As to get 5lbs of the concentrate we would need to refer 300$ worth of product.

would you guys rather have an affiliate program that gave commissions of a lower amount of say 5% of any order regardless if the customer is existing or new? Would that be more appealing? We're trying our best to offer you guys something on top of free shipping and low pricing...:D

I respect your response. Very honest and professional. Keep doing whatever you need to do to continue bringing high quality supps at really good prices. I will continue to buy from you guys and still refer people.

If you bring out a customer loyalty rewards program that would be effing sweet. Keep up the good work.
