I'm thinking of doing my first ever bodybuilding show at a competition that is 24 weeks away. At present at I'm 33, 6'2", 225 ~12%BF (calipers), which means 198 lbs LBM.
The show I'm doing is competition is non-tested but reserved for first-timers, the heaviest category are the heavyweights and the division starts at 198 lbs. At 6'2" I certainly need to come in (much) heavier than that.
I expect I could hit at 5% BF at around 208 lbs, factor in some dehydration and I would expect to be able to be about 203 on comp day, which is still pretty close to the minimum division weight for a guy who will probably be the tallest on stage that day. Ideally I would want a couple more pounds LBM and come in on contest day at 220 (100 kg).
So basically I'm looking for the approach that would yield the most LBM gains in the weeks I have left all the while keeping BF at a level where I can still diet down to contest levels of BF on time for the competition. I'm split on whether I should go for a more moderate bulk to keep fat gain under control and make it easier lean down in the final weeks but compromising total mass gains, or if I should up calories more and allow BF to go higher then just diet harder at the end.
I'm also open for advice regarding the cycle I was thinking of running:
Here's what I have on hand to get the first weeks going
1x Test 400 400mg/ml, 10ml
1x EQ 300mg/ml, 10ml
1x Deca 300mg/ml, 10ml
1x Anadrol 25mg, 100 capsules
1x Clenbuterol 200mcg/ml, 50ml
1x Clomid 50mg, 50 capsules
I was planning to do this cycle for the first weeks,
1-7 Anadrol 50 mg/d
1-10 Test 400 mg/wk
1-10 Deca 300 mg/wk
1-10 EQ 300 mg/wk
Then order more gear to run this for the remaining weeks leading to the show.
11-20 Test Prop 200mg/eod
11-20 Tren A 75mg/eod
15-20 Anavar 50mg/day
19-20 Masteron 100mg/day
clen/t3 if needed.
