View Full Version : thoughts on suspension pre workout

I've read of powerlifters doing a suspension shot prior to a competition. Has anyone here tried before a workout? If so, how much...100mg?

I do have some and its a real trreat to draw let alone pin. After a shake it still plugs a 22ga and plugs while pinning. Do you guys have any suggestions?

what are you hoping to gain from shooting Suspension pre workout? just an added boost?

If you are using it you need to split the shots up through the day to keep your levels stable....i think 2 shots is good from what i remember, so I would go 50mg each, but have honestly never used it.

I get the same boost by taking 10mg of dbol.

100 mg just before a workout works well.I always have an intense workout when I use suspension pre workout.Sounds like your stuff is not water based.

It's definitely water base but not as fine as i thought it should be. I've read pros and cons as far as stability of blood levels. I had to push/pull the plunger a few times to draw and could only inject half before plugging. Actually my 1cc syringe popped off the 22ga pin while trying to push it in. Nerve racking for sure. I'm guessing it would hurt if the blockage let go and shot into my delt! Not sure what to try now. I did shake it while trying to draw as well.

Shake very good before sucking into the syringe. I find the problem with suspension is that when you draw too little of the actually powder and too much water it will be very hard to suck as the powder to water ratio increases. Clogs often. Let's not even talk of the pain after :)

You mean when you are injecting the plunger will not move, and you keep putting more and more pressure on it , and when it lets go u inject in world record time lol ;; I put mine in the trash can ;; Not ****in worth in

it isnt micronized or something, its useless. trash it and buy better shit. I had the same, tried with a cannon and the damn thing clogged.

I have had this problem with most UG Suspension in the last few years... those that know me know that Suspension is my all time fave, so I have a few tips for you...

1) I think the need to shoot Susp as often as most recommend is unnecessary... I have had the most success shooting twice weekly... I noticed no better gains going daily... it might be recommended as far as half life goes, but I think if you go EOD you should be ok... if you're simply looking for a pre-workout boost, then 100mg is fine...

2) In order to help with clogging- which is super frustrating- you have 2 options... try heating the suspension before and after loading... I use a lighter to heat the vial... I put a 25g needle in to vent, just in case, and heat for a few mins... be careful, though... the vial will get really hot, so watch your fingers when loading... then, I run the syringe under hot water for another couple of mins before injecting... again, be cautious about the water flow... keep the tip clear of any possible contaminants...

Another good idea is to mix it with a half CC of an oil base in order to keep a flow going during injection... if you inject with the syringe parallel to the ground, it should keep things flowing nicely...

never had a prob with suspension clogging...but i use the univet....smooth as butter thru a 27ga and no sting....just a lot of badassness. i wouldnt use it preworkout unless you are powerlifting....you blood levels with be all over the place. if you decide to make a cycle out of it i would recommend once daily injects....no need for twice daily from my experience.....

I used to use it bi laterally in the muscle i was training that day 50 mg per side pre workout. Note NEVER shoot into the teardrop as that is the most pain i have ever experienced lol

Ya, guard will go through a 30 gauge diabetic needle :) keep it all for the bicetps!

in regards to the suspension clogging, when it does, just pull back a little out of the muscle and then repush, it will restart once again, don't slow down though.

Have to admit I am surprised that people still experience good results with infrequent pinning.More than 30 years ago I read this British mag that had a story on a bb that was pinning twice daily and working his whole body TWICE a day and whipping himself into shape in a month.By the standards of the day of course.It was considered strange for sure.He would pin just before the workout.

Thanks guys...all good advice. I tried as bdh suggested earlier...and drew a hint of oil on top and it works better. It plugged twice only this time but i pulled back the plunger and let it fall under vacuum. Did that a couple of times and it unplugged itself so i continued the shot. Both delts hurt like hell but i guess thats to be expected.

I do like it though, i pulled an extra fifty pounds on my max deadlift yesterday. I managed to pull the full rack for eight reps on the vertical row. I like it and nothing for sides except some extra shoulder acne.
