Never heard of it before.The Americans developed the Pelican in response.

The crazy thing is they had this technology in the 60's. I had no clue they existed until I stumbled over the Youtube videos. These things fly as fast as a jet liner but so low that they evade radar. Also the payload capacity is significantly higher than a plane while using less fuel because of the increased lift created by the ground. Really makes me wonder why someone didn't try and introduce this for moving people and cargo around.
